Breakbeat is a broad style of Electronic music which utilises breaks, often sampled from earlier recordings in Funk, Jazz, and R&B, for the main rhythm. Breakbeats have been used in various styles and our Breakbeat sample packs are as dynamic as you'd expect, ideal for genres such as Techno, Minimal, Ambient, Hip Hop, Acid House, Trip Hop, and more.
Originating in the 1970s when turntablists started to use Funk breaks using irregular drum patterns in their production, the genre progressed as technology developed. In the 90s, Acid House artists started using Breakbeat samples to create Breakbeat Hardcore. The Hardcore scene then diverged into subgenres like Jungle and DnB.
Download Breakbeat samples with ease - these Breakbeat sound packs are created to make your production fun. We aim to provide the best Breakbeat samples for those looking to incorporate Breakbeat sounds into their projects, across many different genres.
